• Notes

  Most sources state his birth year as 1748 however one has 1846. Curiously, the new headstone erected in 2005 that replaced the original has his birth as 1752 yet there are no sources for this year. The general consensus and most sources state that he was born in North Carolina and probably in Rowan County where he was married.
