Notes - Elizabeth petitioned the court for guardianship of her children in 1937. The court found "That on or about Oct. 4th, 1937 the father (John Oliver Clester) of the minors abandoned said minors in Arkansas City, Kansas and left them wholly destitute.". She was awarded guardianship and bond was waived.
