• Notes

  Despite extensive research virtually nothing has been found about Stanton Stanley. He last appeared in his mother's house during the Federal Census of 1900. Rhea County death records date from 1908 but if he died before that date there would obviously be no record. If he left Rhea County after 1900 there is little hope of finding more about him since Stanley is a very common name.

Vol. Cavy is entitled to a pension under the provisions of the Act of June 27, 1890, at the rate of Eight dollars per month, to commence on the twelfth day of July 1890 and to continue during her widowhood unless she shall forfeit her right thereto. And she is also entitled to two dollars per month, additional for each of the following named children while living and under the age of sixteen years. Grimsley, Minister. Under the Groom and Bride information, the license states that their address was only Hamilton County, TN. No street or town was mentioned.
